First Freeman calf born unassisted!
(September 24, 2012)FIRST 'NEWTOWN FREEMAN' CALF BORN UNASSISTED!
Born this morning is Newtown Freeman's first calf, a heifer calf weighing 42kgs, born at 286 day gest out of DIABLESSE, a second calving French 'Highlander' daughter. She has gained 2 days year-on-year since last years calf (Elderberry Galahad, currently in Cogent at Chester). Calved unassisted, as she did last year. Calf was up and skipping around within a couple of hours.
Freeman, purchased at Roscrea in Co Tipperary back in November, stood champion on the day, this followed becoming Irish National Male Champion 2011. This easy calving and super looking calf is great start for Freeman's career at Elderberry!
